StarCred does not store nor require any private data to connect your account thanks to some Web3 (powered by Ethereum) magic.

What is StarCred?

StarCred is a social media platform where Star Citizens can post content as their in-game characters.

Unlike Spectrum or Star Citizen Reddit, StarCred allows users to self-promote. At StarCred your Star Citizen Referral Code is shown alongside your content. Why would it be otherwise?

Rules

StarCred aims to simplify ruling and moderation. Everyon should be clearly able to follow these rules or have their StarCred account banned, locked, timed out or otherwise.

• Keep all content Star Citizen related.
• No posting of illegal content of any kind. If content is illegal in any jurisdiction you are not allowed to post it.
• No personal attacks (ad hominem). Keep all posting and commenting about the topic not the poster. No personal insults to other players or Star Citizen staff, employees or affiliates. This is a place to promote and discuss your character's activities in the game. Please stick to that or risk losing connection.

How to use StarCred

You can use StarCred to post, create polls, vote, and comment about Star Citizen.

You cannot use StarCred to troll, insult, or attack Star Citizen. StarCred is for players who want to post content about StarCitizen and interact with other Star Citizen but still be able to get credit for it.

Cred Score is an amalgamated score based on a users' upvotes and downvotes throughout their content. It is a measure of the credibility of a Star Citizen on StarCred.cc.

No email, password or other private information of any kind is required to connect your Star Citizen account to use this application.

Data We Access

• Star Citizen Public Data: We access and display public information related to Star Citizen accounts and activities. This includes in-game statistics, achievements, and other publicly available data that has been made specifically publicly available for community usage by Star Citizen and Cloud Imperium Games.
• Data StarCred users post is public. Your posts, votes and comments on StarCred are all publicly visible.
• Your public Ethereum wallet address used to connect is public already but kept in the StarCred database. While this information is not publicly provided by StarCred your public address is stored alongside your public RSI profile. In other words, your public Web3 StarCred address is stored privately on this site.
